Bellevue Hospital’s Bilingual Treatment Program (BTP) - a specialized, outpatient, mental health clinic - is currently looking for a full-time licensed social worker with strong clinical and organizational skills for a supervisory position within the clinic. BTP was established to provide culturally and linguistically relevant and competent clinical/concrete services to the Hispanic community. BTP facilitates access to mental health care and pays strict attention to the cultural relevance of interventions and the cultural competence of its providers. BTP strives to consider all factors associated with sociocultural, linguistic and national heterogeneity that can affect the emotional well-being, evaluation and treatment of our patients.
Potential candidates should be licensed in NY State (LCSW preferred) and should have experience conducting clinical interviews and evaluations. Candidates should also be proficient with various treatment approaches and modalities, including individual and group psychotherapy, short and long-term interventions, psychodynamically based insight oriented therapy, supportive therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy and crisis intervention. Candidates will make up an integral part of an interdisciplinary team, working closely with psychiatrist, psychologist, social workers, caseworkers and trainees in developing a comprehensive treatment plan for clinic patients. Proficiency in Spanish is required.
